Date Prepared: 06-12-2023
Section 1. Identification
1.1 Product Identifier
CAR GUYS Wheel Cleaner
1.2 Relevant Identified uses of the substance or mixture and uses advised against
Identified uses: A water-based, acid-free alkaline cleaner designed to remove brake dust, grease, oil, tar, tire dressing residue, and road grime from wheels and tires. Requires agitation (brushing) for embedded brake dust and a thorough water rinse after application. Safe on alloy wheels, chrome, steel, matte finish wheels, polished wheels, plasti-dipped wheels, clear-coated wheels, powder-coated wheels, tires, rubber, white wall tires, calipers, brake disc surfaces, exhaust tips, and stainless steel. Safe for any wheel color. Safe for motorcycles and sport bikes.
Uses advised against: Do not use on damaged wheels with lifting or peeling clear coat. Do not use on anodized metals or bare/uncoated aluminum (alkaline pH 11+ can degrade anodized coatings and etch or discolor uncoated metal). Do not use on bare or uncoated metal finishes of any kind. Do not use on interior vehicle surfaces or in engine bays. Do not use on any surface that cannot be thoroughly rinsed with water — incomplete rinsing may cause damage due to the alkaline formula. Do not apply to hot wheels or hot brake components. Do not allow the product to sit on wheels for an extended period in direct sunlight.

6.1 Containment/Clean Up
Sections 13 and 15 of this MSDS provide information regarding certain Federal and local requirements. Collect for disposal. Clean up remaining materials from spill with suitable absorbent. For large spills provide diking or other appropriate containment to keep material from spreading. If diked material can be pumped, store recovered material in appropriate container. Clean area as appropriate as some silicone material, even in small quantities, may present a slip hazard. Final cleaning may require steam, solvents or detergents. Observe all personal protection equipment recommendations described in Sections 5 and 8 of this MSDS. Observe all Federal and government regulations that may apply to the cleanup of this material.
Section 7. Handling and Storage
